Grandma’S Fresh Apple Custard Pie
- 1 whole Prepared Pie Crust
- 1-1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1 can (14 Oz) Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/4 cups Frozen Apple Juice Concentrate, Thawed
- 1 whole Egg
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 3 whole Medium Golden Delicious Apples, Peeled, Cored, And Sliced
- 2 Tablespoons Butter

- FOR THE GLAZE:
- 1/4 cups Frozen Apple Concentrate, Thawed.
- 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Bake pie crust for 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, beat sour cream, sweetened condensed milk, juice concentrate, egg, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth. Pour into the prepared crust and bake for 30 minutes or until set. Cool.
- In a large skillet, cook apples in butter until tender but crisp. Arrange on top of the pie.
- To make the glaze, in a small saucepan, combine frozen apple concentrate (thawed), cornstarch, and 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Mix well over low heat. Cook and stir until thickened.
- Drizzle pie with apple cinnamon glaze. Serve warm or chilled.
