Old Flor Hibiscus Cocktail
- FOR THE SYRUP:
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Dried Hibiscus Flowers
- FOR THE COCKTAIL:
- 3 ounces, fluid Fino Sherry
- 3 dashes Fee Brothers Cardamom Bitters
- 1/2 ounces, fluid Hibiscus Syrup
- Ice, To Fill Cocktail Shaker
- Orange Peel, Optional For Garnish
- For the hibiscus syrup:
- Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan and heat to a light boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Reduce heat to a simmer and add hibiscus. Simmer 15 minutes, then remove from the heat and strain. Cool completely before using.
- For the cocktail:
- Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Stir or shake to combine and chill. Strain into a bucket glass with ice and garnish with a piece of orange peel.
