Almond Bars

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix together base ingredients in a medium sized bowl until combined. Pat into a greased 9x13 jelly roll pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden.
  3. While that is baking, mix together filling ingredients in a clean medium sized bowl. Pour and spread over the base as soon as it comes out of the oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes then remove from oven and cool.
  4. While that is cooling whip together the frosting ingredients in another medium sized bowl. Beat until smooth and spread on cooled bars.
  5. For garnish sprinkle slivered almonds over the top of the frosting. Enjoy!
