Pasta With Mushrooms

  1. Drain tomatoes; set aside.
  2. Cook pasta according to directions, omitting salt.
  3. Drain and set aside.
  4. Place chicken broth in large skillet; bring to a boil.
  5. Add mushrooms, shallots and garlic. Cook uncovered over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  6. Add tomato, basil and ground pepper.
  7. Cook, covered, 10 minutes.
  8. Add reserved pasta, pepper strips and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Stir well.
  10. Cover and cook an additional 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  11. Serve immediately.
