Chocolate Sweetheart Cake

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, sugars, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
  4. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla; beat with a whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  6. Bake in a 350u0b0 oven 18 to 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Transfer to cutting board.
  10. Using 3 1/4-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut cake into four pieces.
  11. Spread chocolate frosting on top of two pieces.
  12. Place remaining two hearts on top.
  13. Garnish with decorator icing.
  14. Makes 2 small cakes.
