Bourbon Beans
- 4 slices Bacon, Diced
- 1/4 cups Onion, Chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Bourbon
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Red Beans, Drained And Rinsed
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Pinto Beans, Drained And Rinsed
- 1 can (14.5 Oz. Can) Tomatoes, Chopped And Drained
- 1/4 cups Ketchup
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Molasses
- 1 Tablespoon Prepared Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco
- Saute bacon over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.
- TAKE YOUR PAN OFF THE HEAT. Deglaze with bourbon. Do not do this on the stove or you will have a fire!!
- Return pan to the burner and simmer until bourbon is nearly evaporated. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and then reduce to medium-low heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
