Barbecue Sauce With Cocoa
- 1 Tbsp. confectioners sugar (white or brown; ten powdered)
- 1 (16 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce (Kraft)
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 medium onion, cut into rings
- 1 Tbsp. dried parsley, crushed fine
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. mustard
- 1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. Texas Pete (hot sauce)
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp. Hershey's cocoa
- 1/3 c. water
- First, melt margarine.
- Add
- onion
- rings;
- cook 2 or 3 minutes.
- Add all other
- ingredients.
- Bring
- to
- a slow boil. Cut heat down and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Pour over meat and cook to your desire in
- oven
- at
- 350u0b0.
- Good for chicken, pork chops, beef or pork ribs.
- Also,
- can put sauce over rice or mashed potatoes.
- Serves 4 people.
