Easy Shrimp Bisque
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 3 Tablespoons Celery, Chopped
- 3 Tablespoons Onion, Chopped
- 3 Tablespoons Green Onion, Chopped
- 2-1/2 cups Whole Milk
- 1/2 whole Potato, Cubed
- 1 Tablespoon Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Tablespoon Pepper
- 16 ounces, weight Shrimp, Cooked, Shelled And Deveined
- 3 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Tablespoons Sherry
- Add butter to a medium sauce pan on medium high heat and melt. Add garlic, celery, onion, and green onion. Saute for a minute or two. Add milk, potatoes, red pepper flakes and pepper. Seasoning can be adjusted to taste. Allow ingredients to come to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and allow bisque to cook for another 10 - 30 minutes. Serve hot.
