Sour Cream Coffee Cake With Cinnamon Brown Sugar Streusel
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 sticks Butter (unsalted And Softened)
- 3 whole Eggs
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 cups Sour Cream
- 1 cup Streusel (Recipe Below)

- FOR THE STREUSEL:
- 1/4 cups Light Brown Sugar, Packed
- 1/2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 3 Tablespoons Butter (cold And Cut Into Chunks)
- 3/4 cups Walnuts (optional)
- 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease your preferred baking pan (I used a bundt pan).
- 2. In a large bowl, cream together the cup of sugar and two sticks of butter.
- 3. Add eggs and beat well.
- 4. Mix in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and sour cream until ingredients are just combined. Set aside.
- 5. To make the streusel: in a bowl combine the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt and chunks of butter. Pinch together with fingers until it forms a crumble. Add walnuts if desired.
- 6. Spoon 1/2 of batter into the pan using a knife to spread out evenly. Sprinkle 3/4 of streusel over the batter.
- 7. Spread the remaining batter in the pan and top with the remaining streusel.
- 8. Bake for 50 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
