Sour Cream Coffee Cake With Cinnamon Brown Sugar Streusel

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease your preferred baking pan (I used a bundt pan).
  2. 2. In a large bowl, cream together the cup of sugar and two sticks of butter.
  3. 3. Add eggs and beat well.
  4. 4. Mix in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and sour cream until ingredients are just combined. Set aside.
  5. 5. To make the streusel: in a bowl combine the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt and chunks of butter. Pinch together with fingers until it forms a crumble. Add walnuts if desired.
  6. 6. Spoon 1/2 of batter into the pan using a knife to spread out evenly. Sprinkle 3/4 of streusel over the batter.
  7. 7. Spread the remaining batter in the pan and top with the remaining streusel.
  8. 8. Bake for 50 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
  9. 9. Enjoy!
