Honey Wheat Bread With A Kick

  1. Add yeast to warm water and gently stir. Set aside
  2. In a large bowl add flours, cocoa, sugar, salt, and coffee. Mix to combine.
  3. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add margarine, honey, and the yeast water. Stir until the dough comes together and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  4. Lightly dust a flat surface with flour and knead until smooth (about 10 minutes); on my lazy days I do this all in the stand mixer and this is the time I switch from the mixer to the dough hook. Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat all sides. Cover and let rise until doubled in size; about 1 hour.
  5. Separate ball into four pieces. Either roll each piece into circles or shape into four loaves.
  6. Place onto a lightly greased cookie sheet, cover and let rise for about 1 hour.
  7. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for about 30-35 minutes.
  8. This is so good warm with a little pat of honey butter! The original chef says she loved it with chicken salad. Enjoy!
