Fried Ice Cream
- 1/2 gallons Vanilla Ice Cream
- 8 cups Cinnnamon Toast Crunch
- 1 bottle Hot Fudge Ice Cream Topping, 16 Ounce
- 2 whole Flour Tortillas (optional)
- Get a small cookie sheet or a freezer safe plate ready.
- Crush the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal in a plastic baggie with your rolling pin or pulse lightly in a food processor. Pour crushed cereal into a shallow bowl or pie plate.
- Remove ice cream from freezer. Scoop out a large round scoop of ice cream and drop into the cereal ... very quickly scoop cereal around and over the ice cream and you can even quickly pick up the ice cream ball and form a more perfect "ball". Coat the ice cream real well with cereal and put the first ball on your plate and put in the freezer.
- Repeat and make as many servings as you like.
- I don't like to make these too far in advance.. the longer they are in the freezer the less crispy the cereal is, but it is good for the ice cream to freeze back up a bit before serving so at least put them in the freezer for a minimum of 15 minutes. I usually make them before dinner so sometimes 2-3 hours before serving.
- Serve in bowls with hot fudge drizzled on top! It is super yummy!
- You can also fry flour tortilla triangles in butter and coat with cinnamon and sugar for a final touch!
