Chili
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 4 onions, chopped
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 3 (16 oz.) cans red kidney beans
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in 1 c. water
- pepper to taste
- 1/8 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1 (12 oz.) can beer
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. cumin powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- Saute together meat, onions, celery and green pepper until meat is no longer pink; drain fat.
- In a large kettle, combine meat mixture with remaining ingredients.
- Bring to boil; lower heat and simmer, covered, for 2 to 3 hours.
