Smooth & Creamy Hot Chocolate Mix
- 1/2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cups White Chocolate Chip
- 1 cup Turbinado Sugar
- 1 cup Natural Unsweetened Cacao Powder
- 1 cup Non-fat Instant Dry Milk Powder
- Miniature Marshmallows (optional)
- Whipped Topping (optional)
- 1 cup Dairy Or Non-dairy Milk
- 1. Process the chocolate chips in a food processor until they are fine shreds. Be careful not to over process or the chips will melt.
- 2. Remove shredded chips to a medium-sized mixing bowl.
- 3. Process turbinado sugar in the food processor until it forms into a powder.
- 4. Place it in the mixing bowl with the chips.
- 5. Add the cacao powder and non-fat dry milk to the bowl and stir to combine.
- 6. Return mix to the food processor and pulse until ingredients are well combined and it becomes a fine powder.
- 7. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place. I store mine in the fridge.
- When you are ready for a smooth cup of hot chocolate:
- 8. Mix 2 to 3 heaping tablespoons of the powdered mix into 8 ounces of hot milk (dairy or non-dairy). Adjust the powdered mix to your taste.
- 9. Add topping of your choice.
- Flavor options: You can add 1/2 cup of flavored non-dairy powdered creamer to the mix, if desired. Or you can add dry or wet creamer to taste when preparing the hot chocolate.
