Wilted Or Sour Lettuce
- 1 package (16 Oz. Package) Bacon
- 1 cup White Vinegar
- 3 Tablespoons White Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1 head Lettuce (any Kind Will Do, Except Iceberg)
- 1 whole Onion, Diced
- 1. Fry up that bacon! Make sure it is crispy. Now, you could use a few pieces of bacon, but what are you going to do with the rest of the package? That's right, so just fry it all up and use it. Drain on a paper towel.
- 2. In a small bowl, whisk the vinegar, sugar, and black pepper.
- 3. Wash a big bowl of fresh greens from the garden. Spinach, lettuce, mixed, whatever, just don't use iceberg.
- 4. Dice up an onion or a green onion.
- 5. With the lettuce in the big bowl, crumble the bacon over the top, toss the onion in, and then pour the liquid mixture over the top. Give it all a mix and let it sit for a few minutes to soak up the flavors.
- 6. Enjoy!
