Ketchup

  1. Quarter tomatoes and remove stems.
  2. Add peppers, seeds removed, and slice in strips.
  3. Add chopped onions.
  4. Place 1/3 in blender or food processor; mix until smooth.
  5. Repeat until all tomatoes are blended.
  6. Add vinegar, salt, sugar and spices, tied loosely in muslin bag.
  7. Simmer, uncovered, until mixture is reduced to 1/2.
  8. Pour into hot jars and cover loosely with lids. Process at 212u0b0 for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove and tighten lids.
  10. Makes 5 pints.
