Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
- 1/2 cups Canola Or Corn Oil
- 4 ounces, weight Squares Unsweetened Chocolate, Melted
- 2 cups Sugar
- 4 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 teaspoon Almond Extract
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar, For Rolling
- Mix oil, melted chocolate, and sugar by hand or electric mixer. Blend in eggs, one at a time. Add other ingredients (except powdered sugar) and blend well.
- Chill dough at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350F. Shape into balls and roll in powdered sugar. Bake for 12 -15 minutes. (Debbie's note: Cookies continue baking after removing from the oven. They are done when the center is still cake-like.)
- Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
