Crunchy Topped Cocoa Cake
- 3 cups Flour
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1/2 cups Cocoa
- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups Water
- 3/4 cups Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Coconut Flakes
- 1 cup Chopped Nuts
- 6 Tablespoons Evaporated Milk
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt in large bowl. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake 35 minutes.
- Mix butter, brown sugar, coconut, nuts, and evaporated milk in a bowl. Spread on warm cake. Set oven to broil. Broil 3 minutes till bubbly and golden brown. Watch carefully so as not to burn. Cool. Cut into slices.
