Sesame French Fries With Creamy Wasabi Dipping Sauce
- 3/4 quarts Canola Oil
- 4 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 3 pounds Russet Potatoes, Washed And Cut Into Thin 'fries'
- 1/2 blocks Cream Cheese, Softened, 8 Ounce Block
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 3 Tablespoons Wasabi Paste
- 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- In a large Dutch oven bring the canola and sesame oils to 375 F (heat it between medium high and high on your stove).
- Once oil is hot add the potatoes and fry until almost golden brown. Remove them from the oil using a kitchen spider or slotted spoon. Drain on a plate lined with paper towels and sprinkle with plenty of sea salt.
- In a medium sized bowl whisk together the remaining ingredients (cream cheese through water). Serve fries with the dipping sauce on the side.
