Salad With Apples, Gorgonzola And Walnuts
- 5-1/3 ounces, weight Creamy Gorgonzola
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon (juice, Divided Use)
- 10 slices Green Apple
- 10 slices Baguette
- 7 ounces, weight Mixed Green Salad
- 3-5/8 ounces, weight Walnuts
- 4 Tablespoons Extra-Virgin Oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- Cut the gorgonzola into pieces. Trim and thinly slice the apples, sprinkling the slices with a Tablespoon of lemon juice. Cut the bread into slices and toast in a skillet or in the broiler of the oven for 5 minutes until browned and crispy.
- Distribute the mixed salad into 4 individual bowls or a large serving platter, arrange the bread and apples on the salad.
- Sprinkle with walnuts and gorgonzola chunks.
- Emulsify the oil and remaining lemon juice a bowl. Add salt and pepper and mix well.
- Pour the dressing on top of the salad and serve.
