  1. Mix
  2. all these ingredients well except pecans and anise seed, and let rise like bread.
  3. When dough is risen, place it on a floured
  4. board
  5. and

  7. in the 4 cups of pecans, with flour sprinkled
  8. over
  9. them, and add 3 tablespoons of crushed anise seed.
  10. Cut
  11. dough
  12. so as to make about 6 to 8 flat round or oval loaves about one inch thick.
  13. Place on greased pan and let
  14. rise again to double its size.
  15. Before placing into oven of
  16. 375u0b0 spread
  17. the dough loaves with beaten egg and bake in hot
  18. oven. Let
  19. loaves cool and cut the loaves 1/4 inch thick slices and roll in sugar and cinnamon that was mixed in a bowl and place
  20. slices on a jelly roll pan and toast in oven until almost dry.
