Spicy Pecan Pudding Cake
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- Make sauce by combining first 3 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Cream 2 tablespoons butter and sugar.
- Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture alternately with milk.
- Add chopped nuts. Spread batter into greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
- Carefully pour sauce over batter.
- Arrange pecan halves on top of batter.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
