Spicy Pecan Pudding Cake

  1. Make sauce by combining first 3 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  3. Cream 2 tablespoons butter and sugar.
  4. Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture alternately with milk.
  5. Add chopped nuts. Spread batter into greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
  6. Carefully pour sauce over batter.
  7. Arrange pecan halves on top of batter.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
