Simple Bouillabaisse

  1. In

  3. large 14-inch Dutch oven simmer onions in butter until slightly browned.
  4. Add peppers, potatoes, clams, garlic, bay leaf, parsley
  5. and
  6. salt.
  7. Cook for a few minutes longer. Add
  8. boiling water.
  9. Cover
  10. and gently simmer for 25 minutes. Add the fish fillets and simmer for 5 minutes.
  11. Add shrimp and scallopstnd cook
  12. for
  13. 5
  14. more minutes.
  15. Add tomatoes, clam juice and
  16. blend. Add
  17. the
  18. crab
  19. meat and cook for 5 minutes more.
