Lizzies
- 3 c. Yellow Raisins
- 1/2 c. Bourbon
- 1 1/2 c. Flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. Ground Cloves
- 1/4 c. Soft Butter
- 1/2 pkg. Packed Brown Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 4 c. Pecans or Walnut pieces
- 1 1/4 c. Candied Pineapple
- 1 c. Candied Red Cherries
- 1/2 c. Candied Green Cherries
- 1/2 c. Candied Orange
- Put raisins in bowl.
- Add bourbon.
- Mix well.
- Let stand 1 hour.
- Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove.
- In large bowl, put soften butter, brown sugar and beat.
- Add eggs beat again.
- Beat in flour mixture until smooth.
- Stir in raisins, pecans or walnuts, pineapple, cherries.
- Drop by teaspoons rounded onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake in slow oven at 325u0b0 for about 15 minutes or until firm.
- Makes 7-8 dozen and can be frozen.
