Raisin Molasses Gems

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
  2. 2. Beat Crisco and sugar until fluffy.
  3. 3. Add molasses and egg. Beat well.
  4. 4. Add flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt. Mix well.
  5. 5. Stir in raisins.
  6. 6. Roll in Saran wrap and refrigerate until chilled. I like to leave it in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  7. 7. Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. 8. Remove from oven and cool. Do your best to resist eating them immediately!
  9. 9. Arrange on a nice platter and serve!
