Kappa Alpha Theta Casserole
- 8 slices bread
- 2 c. cooked shrimp
- 2 c. cooked crabmeat
- 1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. warm milk
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. grated cheese
- Cut crusts off of bread and cut into cubes.
- Cook celery until tender. Put 1/2 of bread cubes in bottom of 3-quart casserole. Mix shrimp, crabmeat, green pepper, diced celery, salt and mayonnaise and spread over bread.
- Mix egg, milk and mustard and pour over mixture in casserole.
- Cover with rest of bread.
- Spread over the top one can of undiluted cream of mushroom soup.
- Spread cheese over top and bake 1 hour at 325u0b0.
- Serves 8 to 10.
