Praline Brookies

  1. For the brownies:
  2. Mix and bake brownies according to the box directions (you'll typically need water, eggs, and oil, as directed in mix package). I normally use the 13x9 mix or use 2 boxes of the 8x8 size brownie mix. Set aside after baking and prepare your praline sauce.
  3. For the praline sauce:
  4. Mix the butter, milk, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil for a few minutes. Be careful not to burn. Pour over the baked brownies.
  5. For the cookie dough layer:
  6. I buy the regular size refrigerated break apart chocolate chip cookies in the yellow package. They are pre-indented to show where to cut. I go ahead and cut them smaller and randomly place the uncooked dough on top of the brownies now covered in praline sauce. They will spread as they cook.
  7. Put your pan back in the oven at 350u0b0F until the cookies are golden brown. Let cool and cut into small bites. Or keep warm and serve with a scoop of ice cream. Yummy!
