Michigan Cherry Chicken Salad
- 6 cups Boiled, And Cubed Chicken Breast
- 3/4 cups Toasted Slivered Almonds
- 1 cup Chopped Celery
- 1/2 cups Finely Chopped Sweet Onion
- 1 cup Dried Cherries, Rough Chopped
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cups Sour Cream
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/2 whole Lemon, Juiced
- 1 teaspoon Seasoning Salt
- Prep chicken and nuts ahead:
- Boil chicken breast, cool, and cut into small cubes.
- Toast nuts on a baking sheet for 3 minutes in a 350F oven.
- Assembling salad:
- Combine cubed chicken, chopped celery, onion, and cherries in a mixing bowl.
- Mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, lemon juice, and seasoning salt in a smaller mixing bowl. Whisk together until smooth.
- Pour salad dressing over chopped ingredients and fold together. Fold in toasted nuts.
- Serve alone, or on bread. We really enjoy this salad on croissants. Delicious!
