Malted Waffles
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 3/4 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 3/4 cups Nestle Carnation Malted Milk (Original)
- 2 whole Eggs, Separated
- 1-3/4 cup Milk (or Buttermilk) - More Or Less Depending On Texture
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 cups Peanut Oil
- In a large bowl, mix together the flours, baking powder, salt, and malted milk.
- In another bowl, mix together the egg yolks, buttermilk, vanilla, and peanut oil. Add to the dry ingredients.
- In a small bowl beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold carefully into the rest of the mixture.
- Bake according to your waffle maker's instructions. Remove waffles carefully.
- Serve with peanut butter, butter, maple syrup, or regular syrup. Enjoy!
