Lush Dessert
- FOR THE CRUST:
- 2-1/4 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1/4 cups Powdered Sugar
- 3/4 cups Ground Almonds
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Butter

- FOR THE CREAM CHEESE FILLING:
- 1 package (8 Ounce) Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream

- FOR THE CHOCOLATE PUDDING FILLING:
- 2 packages (4-serving Size Package) Chocolate Instant Pudding
- 3 cups Milk

- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 1-1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1/2 cups Slivered Almonds (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
- 1. Prepare the crust: In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour, sugar, ground almonds, and salt. Cut in butter with a pastry cutter until resembles coarse meal. Press firmly into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
- 2. Cream cheese filling: In a bowl, cream together softened cream cheese, sugar and heavy whipping cream on medium speed, until smooth and creamy. Should be thick but spreadable.
- 3. Chocolate filling: In a medium bowl, combine pudding mix and milk. Beat on low until pudding is thickened, about 3 minutes.
- 4. Whipped topping: Beat heavy whipping cream, sugar and vanilla until peaks form. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Assembly: When crust has cooled, spread cream cheese filling evenly over crust, then evenly spread chocolate pudding on top of that, then finish it off with the layer of whipped topping. Refrigerate for 2-24 hours before cutting into squares. Garnish with slivered almonds.
