Geegees Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 cup Crisco
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups White Sugar
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Water
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1-1/2 cup Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2 cups Oatmeal (not Instant)
- 1 cup Chopped Nuts (pecans Or Walnuts Or Whatever You Prefer)
- 1 bag Chocolate Chips
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Cream Crisco with both types of sugar. To this mixture, add eggs (unbeaten), water, vanilla, flour, salt and soda. Combine.
- In another bowl, mix together oatmeal, nuts and chocolate chips. Add to original mixture.
- This dough will be very full, I prefer to mix it at this point with my hands.
- Put teaspoonfuls of dough on a cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- My children called their great grandmother (my grandmother) GeeGee. She died last summer from cancer, so these cookies are very sentimental to us. They are, the best chocolate chip cookies ever. Hands down.
- Thanks GeeGee! We love you and miss you!
