Pepper Steak With Rice
- 3 c. hot cooked rice
- 1 lb. round steak, diced thin
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 cloves garlic powder
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/8 c. soy sauce
- 2 c. beef broth
- 1 c. green onions
- 2 green peppers
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. cooking sherry
- 2 tomatoes, cut up
- Sprinkle meat with paprika.
- Let stand for 5 minutes.
- In large skillet or pan, brown meat in butter.
- Add garlic, broth and cooking sherry.
- Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Stir in onion and green peppers.
- Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Blend cornstarch, water and soy sauce.
- Stir into meat mixture.
- Cook until thick.
- Serve with rice and top with tomatoes.
