Mocha Fudge Brownies
- 8 ounces, weight Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- 1-1/2 stick Butter
- 1-1/2 cup Sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Instant Coffee Granules
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 4 Eggs
- 3/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
- 3/4 cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 dash Fleur De Sel Or Sea Salt (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl set over a pot of barely simmering water, melt the 8 ounces of chocolate chips with the butter. Stir constantly and heat until smooth, then remove the bowl from the heat. Set aside and cool to lukewarm.
- Then stir in the sugar, instant coffee and vanilla. Then add the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each. Add salt and flour and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and pour the mixture into a lightly greased 9x13 baking pan. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted and comes out with moist crumbs on it. Cool completely in pan and then cut into squares. Sprinkle with fleur de sel or sea salt if desired.
