Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream With Hints Of Malt
- 2-1/4 cups Heavy Cream
- 3/4 cups Skim Milk
- 3/4 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/3 cups Grape Nuts Cereal
- 1 whole Graham Cracker
- This recipe makes about 5 cups.
- Combine the cream, milk, vanilla and sugar in a large bowl. Mix for a few minutes or until you can tell that the sugar has dissolved completely into the ice cream. Add the Grape-Nuts and break up the graham cracker into large chunks before adding it as well. Mix to combine. Cover the bowl with a sheet of plastic wrap and put it into the refrigerator. Let the mixture refrigerate for at least 2 hours, though I prefer overnight.
- Strain the cream mixture into a bowl to separate out the Grape-Nuts and graham cracker. Pour the cream into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. Enjoy!
