Banana Bread With Orange Glaze
- FOR THE BREAD:
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/8 teaspoons Ground Cloves
- 1/8 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 4 whole Large Bananas
- 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Butter, At Room Temperature
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
- ________
- FOR THE ORANGE GLAZE:
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
- Add all your dry ingredients into a bowl (flour, baking soda, salt, and spices). Stir to blend.
- Mash up your bananas on a plate to have them ready.
- In a mixer, cream together your brown sugar and butter. Add the eggs and vanilla and blend until mixed well, making sure to scrape down the sides of your bowl. Add the mashed bananas and blend until mixed well.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and stir until just combined. You don't want to over mix so just use a spoon to stir the two together. Pour mixture into a greased loaf pan; I used 4 small loaf pans and it was just the right amount. Bake at 350u0b0F for 60-65 minutes for a large loaf pan or 25-35 minutes for small loaf pans.
- For the orange glaze:
- Mix together the powdered sugar and orange juice. If it seems too wet, add a little more powdered sugar. If it seems too dry, add a little more orange juice. Be careful and add the juice slowly because it is easy to over add! Drizzle over the bread.
