Lasagne
- 2 sweet Italian sausages, chopped, or pork sausage
- 1 onion, chopped fine
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can Italian tomatoes
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 pkg. lasagne noodles, cooked
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 lb. cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- Fry or brown sausages.
- Drain off fat.
- Add onion and garlic and saute 10 minutes, until onion is brown.
- Add tomatoes, water and basil and stir.
- Cover and cook over low heat for three hours, stirring occasionally.
- Correct seasoning; add parsley.
- Place layer of noodles on bottom of buttered baking dish.
- Add some sauce.
- Mix water and cottage cheese together and spread some of it over sauce.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Repeat layers, ending with cottage cheese and
- Parmesan on top.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
- Serves 6.
