Chocolate Pie

  1. Bake and cool pie crust.
  2. Soften gelatin in cold water. Combine 1/3 cup sugar, cornstarch and salt in heavy saucepan. Gradually stir in milk, blending until smooth.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until filling comes to a boil.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes then remove from heat.
  5. Stir a small amount into beaten egg yolks then add to filling.
  6. Cook for 1 minute.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in gelatin.
  8. Blend melted chocolate and vanilla into filling.
  9. Fill pie shell and let cool.
  10. Serve with whipped cream.
