One Skillet Spaghetti
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
- 3/4 c. chopped green peppers
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. thin spaghetti, broken into pieces
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 oz.)
- Cook and stir ground beef and onions in large skillet until beef is brown.
- Drain off fat.
- Stir in tomatoes (with liquid) and remaining ingredients except Cheddar cheese, break up tomatoes. Heat mixture to boiling.
- Reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until spaghetti is tender, about 30 minutes.
- Add small amount of water if necessary.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Cover and heat until cheese is melted.
- Makes 7 servings.
