Peanut Butter Reindeer Cookies!
- 1-1/4 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cups Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/2 cups Shortening
- 3 Tablespoons Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 whole Egg
- 1-3/4 cup Flour
- 3/4 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 3/4 teaspoons Salt
- 60 whole Mini Chocolate Covered Pretzels
- 60 whole Brown M&Ms
- 30 whole Red M&Ms
- 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- 2. Combine brown sugar, peanut butter, shortening, milk and vanilla in large bowl, and beat until well blended. Then add egg and mix to combine.
- 3. Add in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix in until well blended.
- 4. Form dough into 1 inch balls. To make reindeer-shaped cookies, pinch the bottom of the ball to form a point, then flatten the ball with your hand.
- 5. Space cookies 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
- 6. Remove from oven, and gently press two brown M&Ms for the eyes, one red one for the nose, and then add the mini pretzels onto the tops of the cookies for the antlers.
- 7. Allow to cool on baking sheet then transfer to wire rack.
- NOTE: The antlers will fall off if you are not careful!! You want to make sure the entire cookie is on the plate, because if part of the cookie is hanging off the antlers will fall off! Also, you can make some green and blue eyed reindeers for a bit of variety, or if you are short on brown M&Ms!
