Christmas Lizzies

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs; mix.
  3. Put 1 cup of sifted flour over nuts and raisins.
  4. Sift 2 cups of flour and spices together.
  5. Add soda, milk and cooking wine (or grape juice) to sugar mixture.
  6. Add flour and spices, then add candied fruit.
  7. Add nuts and raisins; mix well.
  8. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 325u0b0 for 25 minutes (drop by teaspoonful).
  9. Mixture doesn't spread, so can be baked close together.
  10. Makes 10 dozen.
