German Sweet Chocolate Pie
- 1 3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts
- 3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 1 pkg. German sweet chocolate
- 1/3 c. milk
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip, thawed
- Mix walnuts and margarine in 9-inch pie plate until well blended.
- Press into bottom and up sides of pie plate. Refrigerate.
- Microwave chocolate and 2 tablespoons of the milk in large bowl on High 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until chocolate is almost melted, stirring halfway through heating time.
- (Stir until chocolate is completely melted.)
- Beat in cream cheese, sugar and remaining milk until well blended.
- Refrigerate until cooled. Gently stir in whipped topping until smooth.
- Spoon in crust. Freeze 4 hours.
- Garnish as desired.
- Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes or until pie can be easily cut.
