Heart Smart Protein-Packed Chocolate Pancakes
- 1/4 cups Pecans, Toasted
- 1 whole Egg
- 1-1/4 cup Skim Milk
- 1/2 cups Chocolate Protein Powder
- 1-1/2 cup Heart Smart Bisquick Mix
- 1 Tablespoon Butter (or Nonstick Cooking Spray)
- 1/4 cups Sugar Free Syrup
- 1 whole Banana, Thinly Sliced
- 1. Place pecans on a small microwave safe plate; nuke in the microwave on high for 1 minute.
- 2. Meanwhile, heat your griddle to 400u0b0F.
- 3. In a medium bowl, whisk together egg, milk, protein powder and Bisquick mix. Spray the hot griddle with cooking spray or 1 tablespoon butter.
- 4. Pour in slightly less than 1/4 cupfuls onto greased griddle. Cook until bubbles break on the surface of the pancakes. Flip and cook until golden brown. (Takes about 1-2 minutes per side.)
- 5. Pour syrup in a glass measuring cup and nuke for 30 seconds in the microwave. Place pancakes on a warm plate. Top with banana slices, pecans and syrup. Serve warm.
- Note: Pancakes can be stored in a ziplock bag in the fridge for 3 days. Reheat in a toaster oven.
