Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies With A Hint Of Orange
- 2-1/4 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Ginger
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter, Melted And Slightly Cooled
- 3/4 cups Granulated Sugar
- 3/4 cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 1 whole Large Egg
- 1 whole Large Egg Yolk
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1-1/2 Tablespoon Freshly Grated Orange Zest
- 2 cups (12 Oz.) Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1.treheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line several baking sheets with parchment paper or baking mats; set aside.
- 2.tn a medium bowl, add flour, baking soda, salt and ground ginger. Whisk to combine; set aside.
- 3.tn a large bowl, whisk together melted butter with the sugars until well combined. Add the whole egg, egg yolk and vanilla. Whisk to incorporate. Stir in the orange zest.
- 4.tour the wet mixture into the flour mixture, stirring until just combined.
- 5.ttir in the chocolate chips.
- 6.tover and refrigerate dough for 1 hour.
- 7.tsing a small cookie scoop, scoop small dough balls onto prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
- 8.take at 375u0b0F for 10 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
- 9.temove from the oven and cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
