Pizza(Better Than Traditional)

  1. Preheat oven to 450u0b0.
  2. Lightly oil 12-inch pizza pan. Sprinkle with cornmeal.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Add onion and garlic; cook 2 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes, 4 1/2 teaspoons basil or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, salt and pepper.
  6. Cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Press dough into pan.
  8. Cover with sauce.
  9. Top with cheese.
  10. Sprinkle with remaining basil and oregano.
  11. Bake until crust is golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  12. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
  13. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
