Sausage And Rice Casserole
- 1 pound Breakfast Sausage
- 1/2 whole Onion, Chopped
- 1/2 whole Green Bell Pepper, Chopped
- 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Cream Of Mushroom Soup
- 1 package Saffron Rice (I Use Mahatma 5oz Pkg)
- 1 jar Cheez Whiz (8ozs)
- 1 jar Diced Pimentos (4ozs)
- 1) Cook rice according to package directions.
- 2) Brown sausage over medium heat and once it is browned, remove sausage from the pan with a large spoon, reserving the drippings in the pan. Set the sausage aside in a bowl.
- 3) Saute onion and bell pepper in remaining drippings over medium heat until tender.
- 4) Mix all ingredients (cooked rice, sausage, veggies and the Cheez Whiz and pimentos) in a large bowl and transfer to a greased 9x13 casserole dish.
- 5) Bake at 350F for 30 minutes.
