Cornell Oatmeal Cookies
- 3/4 c. soft margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 c. milk (sweet or sour)
- 3/4 c. flour
- 4 Tbsp. soy flour
- 2 Tbsp. Brewer's yeast
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. powdered cloves
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. toasted wheat germ
- 2 3/4 c. oatmeal
- Cream together shortening and sugar.
- Beat in eggs.
- In separate large bowl, sift together flours, yeast, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
- Add to first mixture.
- Add raisins, wheat germ and oatmeal.
- Mix well.
- Arrange by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheets.
- Bake until lightly browned at 375u0b0, about 10 minutes.
