Orange Chocolate Almond Butter Blondies
- 1-1/4 cup Whole White Wheat Flour
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Honey
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1 Egg
- 3/4 cups Chocolate Chips, Divided
- 1 Tablespoon Orange Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Orange Zest
- 1/2 cups Almond Butter
- Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the honey, vanilla, and egg and mix well again.
- Microwave 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips to totally melt them. Stir the orange juice and orange zest into the melted chocolate chips. Microwave them again if the chocolate is starting to harden and clump.
- Pour the almond butter, liquified chocolate mixture, and the rest of the chocolate chips into the bowl and fold gently into the batter. For a slightly marbled look, do not totally fold in the chocolate and almond butter.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8x8 baking pan and bake at 350u0b0F for 40-45 minutes, until the color has deepened to a darker tan and it tests done. Garnish with orange zest if desired and enjoy warm with a glass of milk!
