Chocolate Fluffernutter Cookies
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cups Butter Flavored Shortening
- 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 whole Large Egg
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 cups Baking Cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1/2 cups Buttermilk
- 1 package (12 Oz. Size) Nestle Swirled Milk Chocolate & Peanut Butter Morsels
- 18 whole Large Marshmallows, Halved
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Line three baking sheets with parchment paper or Silpat liners.
- In a mixer, cream together sugar, shortening, vanilla and egg.
- In a small bowl, combine dry ingredients and sift together.
- Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Mix until completely combined, stopping to scrape the sides if necessary. Stir in Nestle morsels.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto the lined sheets. Bake for 8 minutes and remove from the oven. Top each cookie with a marshmallow half, return to the oven for three minutes longer. When cookies are done, let cool on the sheet for one minute before removing to racks to cool completely.
- When using a measured tablespoon scoop, this recipe makes exactly 3 dozen cookies.
