Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate Cake
- 3 to 4 tsp. prepared cocoa mix
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. (4 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. milk
- 4 sq. (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
- 1 pkg. fudge chocolate pieces
- Creamy Chocolate Frosting
- Grease three 8-inch round cake pans.
- Dust with cocoa.
- Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time.
- Blend in vanilla.
- Stir together flour, soda and salt.
- Add alternately with milk to creamed mix, blending thoroughly, beginning and ending with flour.
- Thoroughly blend in melted chocolate.
- Pour half of batter into the 3 pans; sprinkle the fudge pieces evenly over the batter and pour the remaining batter over the fudge pieces in the 3 pans.
- Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until tester comes clean.
- Cool 10 minutes in pan, then turn out on rack to cool.
