Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, the white sugar, and the brown sugar. Add the eggs one at a time. Add the vanilla.
  3. Add the flour 1/2 cup at a time. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking soda.
  4. Add the oats 1/2 cup at a time. Add the raisins and the chocolate chips.
  5. Drop teaspoon sized scoops of cookie batter onto an un-greased cookie sheet.
  6. Make sure that the cookies are spaced at least an inch apart.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow cookies to cool for a minute or two before removing them from the cookie sheet and transferring them to a plate or cooling rack.
  9. Devour right on the spot, or store in an airtight container.
