Fizzy Lime Drink
- 1/2 cups Lime Juice (For 1/2 Cup You'll Need Approximately 6 Small Limes)
- 2 whole Limes (zest Of)
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 6 Lime Wedges
- 72 ounces, fluid Lemon Lime Soda (about Six 12-ounce Cans)
- Mix lime juice, zest and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-high heat until boiling. Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes more, then remove from heat. Pour syrup through a sieve and into a bowl, to strain out the lime zest. Let cool and transfer to a bottle (preferably glass) and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
- Once syrup is ready, add 2 tablespoons of it to a large glass, then squeeze a lime wedge over it before dropping the lime wedge into the glass. Add a small amount of soda and stir vigorously. Then add desired amount of ice (I usually fill the glass 3/4 full), followed by the remaining amount of soda. Stir once more then enjoy!!
